These sunglasses are the real thing. I should know as I have been wearing this style from this manufacturer since 1972 and I am a retired Marine Corps Officer. After retirement I became an authorized American Optical outlet and sell only U.S. manufactured, new and in the box AO product, the same as I used to wear on active duty.
